Each day that I acknowledge the imbalances in my life, my personal struggle for equanimity becomes more competitive. Who determines the perfect balance between work and play?

If you work more often, longer hours, and more intensely…
will this make you a contributing member of society… seen as as more productive?

What if you decided, on Monday morning, that you are not sufficiently rested from the week before and just decide to take the day off.  Sleep in and sit in the sun, read a book – walk your dog. Does this make you a slacker?

Should you go home each night after work, and eat a healthy meal and get plenty of sleep? Or do you grab the opportunity to go to a concert, a late night dinner, dance like you-just-don’t-care when the opportunity presents itself, because, you may say: “Sleep when you’re dead.” Is it ok if sometimes you go to work tired, or hung over?

Do you exercise every day?
Are you always sore the next day? Do you push your body until you grit your teeth and grunt?

What’s REALLY right for you? Only you can decide… but have you made a plan?

Every day, acknowledge and respect your imbalances. Strive to reach harmony within yourself. Make yourself the promise to do one thing everyday which feels nurturing, and one thing that asks you to reveal your vulnerabilities. Search for the perfect fit.

Philosophy In Action

Have you ever suffered from heart break?  If so you know that your body can suffer physical and mental imbalances from that heart ache, which may even affect your immunity.  This week find balance within. Examine your eating, sleeping, working and play habits in addition to your thought patterns (are they mostly negative or positive?). Finding balance in ourselves first will help us find balance all around us.

Color Your World

The color of the month is Bud Green.  This bright spring color can be used to balance and heal your physical and spiritual body.

Chakra Therapy

The heart chakra (the 4th chakra) is in the center of all the major chakras.  It links the upper and lower chakras together.  Balance of the lower chakras is paramount to balancing the heart and upper chakras thereafter.

Sole Training

Balance is the foundation for all movement.  This week execute your upper body exercises while standing on one leg. For example: while you are doing bicep curls, stand on your right foot.  When you are doing lateral raises, stand on your left foot.

Higher Education

Find the connection from glutes to feet – and correct your imbalances!
