Big Bowl | The willPower Method®

I’m a big fan of one-dish meals, I always have been.  I’m a sucker for a chili, pho, and goulash. My favorite one-dish meal, however, is The Big Salad. I’m sure I’ll be posting some of my favorite healthy salads over the next few months – but let me first prepare you…to thoroughly enjoy The Big Salad, you’ll need The Big Bowl.

Super Big Bowls are just handy to have around the house if you need to serve popcorn for movie night or mix stuffing on Thanksgiving.  EATING a healthy meal out of a Big Bowl just seems like a super indulgent, naughty treat – something that you might have done when you were young and your mom was out of the house.

Hmmm – is it polite to sit cross legged on the front porch with a Big Bowl in my lap?  I’m not sure however, when I’m facing 1/2 pound of greens on a Tuesday night after a hard-core workout, I’m not concerned with my neighbors’ opinion of my lack of dining etiquette.

Stainless steel will support sharp knives for a chopped salad. It’s IKEA’s 11″ BLANDA BLANK for $4.99, and one of my favorite kitchen items.

This Big Salad

GREENS: spinach, arugula, basil, celery
PROTEIN: chopped organic buffalo, browned with red onions, baby bella mushrooms and red wine
EXTRAS: balsamic vinegar mixed with honey and chopped raw cashews
