“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.”– Tommy Lasorda

Determination is a magical element which illuminates life once you decide to take action, to strive, to struggle, to have passion for your wishes, desires and dreams.

Have you ever found yourself stuck, waiting, bored or in a state of non-commitment? These places waste precious moments of your life. If you find yourself unfocused, it’s time to make a decision.

Commitment leads to change, which is always better then being stuck. Setting a goal and demanding a standard for yourself requires effort, diligence, patience, and willPower, but also that magical element of determination which comes from deep within your heart, your nerve, your gut.

This is your life. This is your ride… do you want to crawl or fly? Travel light! Letting go often takes more determination than anything else, but to truly move forward you must let go of what holds you back.

“Fight one more round. When your arms are so tired that you can hardly lift your hands to come on guard, fight one more round. When your nose is bleeding and your eyes are black and you are so tired that you wish your opponent would crack you one on the jaw and put you to sleep, fight one more round – remembering that the man who always fights one more round is never whipped.” – James Corbett

Philosophy In Action

Determination is like a physical muscle: you must continually train to enhance your endurance and build your strength. This week, make a strong decision, and stick to it.

Using a scrub brush on your feet while showering is a great way to reawaken thousands of sensory receptors which feed directly into your central nervous system.
