To transform, we must shift…find a shift within ourselves. Shift our inner world so the outer world may respond. An outer transformation is what many of us seek. What happens inside dictates what shows up outside. To truly transform, we must think beyond skin deep.
To transform, we sustain a commitment of change in an intentional direction. To transform, we feel the shift first within ourselves. We’ve set our sights. The vision has formed within our minds. We listen for the right moment to move. We anticipate, but we don’t move until the day arrives. The day of the event or the day we are guided to move.
There is a different kind of strength associated with being able to hold a pose, to deliberately squeeze the muscles in the inner thighs, and then breathe into the squeeze. There is belief, confidence, conviction, focus, and determination symbolized in our holding and deliberate engagement. As we release the pose, we feel how our patience has paid off.
The curtain lifts, the door opens, and we are ready to arrive. Never to go back. Because we are not the same person anymore. We are transformed.
Transform means to make a thorough or dramatic change in form, appearance, or character. A room can be transformed by a fresh coat of paint or new hardwood floors. Your backyard can be transformed overnight by snowfall. Your body can be transformed as you release resentment, dis-ease, or limiting beliefs about how life is supposed to go. In medical terms, transform means to cause to change, as in to cause a cell to undergo genetic transformation. In physics, transform means to change into another form of energy.
As you go through your week, think deeply about the kind of transformation you are seeking.
Day One: Start from the ground up.
Until we feel safe and secure, we lack the stable foundation from which to grow and transform.
Day Two: Elicit your desire.
How would it feel in your ideal transformed state? See yourself transformed. Feel it in every ounce of your being. Become the vibrational match to that which you desire.
Day Three: Create forward motion.
Allow your personal energy to transform inertia into action and movement. What challenges can you meet today to create forward motion in your life?
Day Four: Bring it into your heart.
Be grateful for the challenges that have helped you transform your fear and open up to love.
Day Five: Communicate as-if.
Fool yourself. When you act as-if you’re already transformed, you create from that vantage point. Communicate to the Universe through your words and expressions that you are serious.
Day Six: Seek answers.
Why is this time different? How did past experiences prepare you for this? What changed or clicked within you? Why does the world look differently to you now? What feels different within you?
Day Seven: Connect to others.
A historic figure. A fictional character in a book. The heroine. The athlete on another continent preparing for the same event. The person next to you in line who is also seeking their own personal transformation. Feel the strength of connection. We are all in this together. Past, present, and future.
