We practice patience when we give up attachments to results. Not because they don’t matter, but because they matter so much. We want the things to happen in life that benefit us the most. We can rest in knowing that if we do ultimately belong to this career, this relationship, this lifestyle, this location…we absolutely will find ourselves there…because our hearts will guide us to it.

Take a moment and recognize the role that control or fear plays in your life. Have you already decided what you think your future “should” bring? (Or what it better not bring?!) Have things ever worked out differently in your life and, in hindsight, you see they worked out better than what you had pre-conceived?

This week, the challenge is to go the softer patient way. Discover it is actually your strength to practice PATIENCE. Be fully invested in the effort for the sake of being fully invested in an effort. Show up in excellence, integrity, contribution, and give it all you’ve got with no guarantee of where it’s going…knowing that when you patiently stand up in your excellence, it is going somewhere.

Day One:

The embryo doesn’t need to visualize to become a baby.” ~Marianne Williamson

With PATIENCE, we can trust in our innate abilities to grow and strengthen even without visual proof.

Day Two:

Grasping for the impossible (total control) is the root of addictions.” ~Michelle Margaret

With PATIENCE, let go of the need to micro-manage or control every element. Lose the addictive mindset and relax into the possible.

Day Three:

Patience is full of empathy – so it has the power to change you, as well as those around you. As you practice patience – with yourself and others, heartache, discomfort and frustration move into the past. They never will have the power that they hold in the present.” ~ willPower & grace

Power is self-manifested through PATIENCE. Allow painful moments of defeat dissolve into the past where they can no longer hurt you.

Day Four:

Find patience with the conditions of your life, with the baggage that you must sometimes carry, and the foggy path which lies ahead. Have patience with the noise in the air, and with the people around you. Have patience with all that remains unsolved in your heart.” ~willPower & grace

With PATIENCE, heal your heart. Don’t take everything so seriously or personally! Lighten up. Soften your heart as you heal the hardened places.

Day Five:

Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.” ~Oprah Winfrey

A good exhale and a healthy shift in perspective will bring clarity back into our eyes. With PATIENCE, we shift our direction toward life-serving pursuits and appreciative thought patterns.

Day Six:

All thought creates form on some level.” ~ A Course in Miracles

In other words, be careful with that recurring thought in your head! You are creating something with it right now. How does that change how you think? How does that incentivize you to care about what you are thinking…and be more selective? With PATIENCE, we know our positive mindset will assist us in creating something magnificent.

Day Seven:

Make space for your future.” ~Danielle LaPorte, Truthbomb

With PATIENCE, we allow the Universe to conspire in our favor. We don’t rush to see or demand to know, we trust that things are working out better than we could single-handedly orchestrate or imagine.
